Meet the Doctors
Dr. Tim Smith
As a child, Dr. Smith was chronically ill. Asthma and allergies caused him to suffer through decades of hospital stays, a multitude of prescribed drugs, and watching from the sidelines. After discovering chiropractic and how the body truly functions, he finally began to get well. Because of his experience of constantly getting sick, he is proud to be on a mission to help people be free of unnecessary sickness, toxic drugs, and suffering. His background also propels his passion to serve his community by leading wellness workshops for local businesses, churches, schools, and organizations.
Dr. Caitlyn Cortner
Dr. Caitlyn Cortner received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Excelsior College of New York. She graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
Suffering from chronic ear infections and reproductive disorders from the age of 13, she began seeing a chiropractor and quickly fell in love with the profession. Her ear infections disappeared and every one of her reproductive disorders were resolved. She was inspired by the way chiropractic care was able to help her without the use of medications or surgery. This motivated her to pursue chiropractic as her life’s work and passion.
Our staff members work with our doctors every day to provide our patients with a professional and friendly experience.
One of Mari's biggest passions in life is knowing that she's doing something meaningful in someone's life. In fact serving other's needs first has been a quality she's possessed since childhood. Mari considers herself a very responsible, hardworking and loyal person, and says "I’m a really family oriented person and I’ve learned to treat everyone I work with and all the patients that come into our office as part of my family as well. I was fortunate enough to have been going to Chiropractors since I was about 7 years old and everyday, I’m amazed on how life changing it is for some people and how much I continue to learn from MaxLiving". She loves to spend her free time with family, and especially her puppy, Bella.
I am a mother of two teenage boys, fourteen and eighteen. They keep me pretty busy with sports, cross country, track, lacrosse and football.
I have been working in the fitness industry since 2006. I have always been active, doing gymnastics and cheer-leading all through my childhood and young adult life. After having my children I really wanted to work but still remain at home so I began training and teaching group fitness classes. I absolutely loved it. I taught yoga, tai chi, Pilates, aerobics, boot camps, and had a variety of training clients . My favorite clients were those who needed dramatic weight loss. Watching someone’s life completely change makes it not just about pounds lost, but about confidence gained. I also have a passion for seniors I worked for two years at a senior living center doing physical activities with the residents. It was a joy to listen to their stories and soak up all that wisdom.
Working to better the lives and overall health of people is my life goal. I am passionate about helping people be the best version of themselves.
